The 2026/27 campaign marks Inglis’ tenth consecutive season with the Stars, with the Dundonian-born defenceman having made over 450 appearances for his hometown team, placing him second on the club’s all-time appearances list.
Across his time with the Stars, Inglis has recorded 53 points and 293 penalty minutes, establishing himself as a key figure on the team’s blueline.
His journey with the Stars began in 2016, when he joined on a two-way contract while continuing to ice for Scottish National League side Dundee Comets and the Dundee Stars Under-20s.
In 2017, Inglis helped the Comets secure both the SNL Championship and Playoff Championship.
On the international stage, Inglis earned his first Great Britain cap at the 2025 IIHF European Cup of Nations in Sosnowiec, Poland. He was subsequently named in the initial Team GB squad for the 2026 IIHF World Championship, but injury unfortunately prevented him from taking part.
He also helped Great Britain secure silver at the inaugural Ultimate Hockey 3×3 tournament in Austria.

On being the first Dundee Star to be awarded a testimonial game, Inglis said:
“It makes me feel incredibly proud, I’m privileged that I get to do what I love as a job. Being from the city and playing for the Dundee Stars juniors, the goal growing up was always to play for the Stars. Playing my first game was a huge honour, and now to be ten years down the line and over 450 games is surreal and I’m incredibly proud every time I get to step on the ice in front of the fans in Dundee.”
Reflecting on his time with the Stars so far, Inglis added:
“It’s been amazing, it’s the best job in the world and I love coming to the rink every day. All of the teammates I’ve had over the years, they’ve made my journey and time with the Stars so special. The support I’ve had from the fans has been incredible as well, I know it makes them proud seeing one of their own on the ice.”
Looking ahead, Inglis concluded:
“I try not to look too far into the future and focus on the here and now, but it’s an honour that I get to do this for a job and do it in my home city. The plan is to take this as far as my body will let me and hopefully see the club continue to grow year by year as it has done over my time.”
Michael Ward, Commercial Manager of the MKM Dundee Stars, added:
“On behalf of MKM Dundee Stars, I am delighted to confirm that the Club has agreed to a testimonial year and match recognising Kris’s outstanding contribution to the Stars.
Kris has been an integral part of Dundee Stars for over a decade, demonstrating exceptional loyalty, commitment and professionalism throughout his time with us.
His dedication both on and off the ice, together with his contribution to the wider Dundee ice hockey community, makes him a thoroughly deserving first-ever recipient of this recognition at the Stars.”
Planning is underway for the event, and further details will be announced in due course.
