The MKM Dundee Stars are delighted to announce the signing of forward Rio Page on a two-way contract with Dundee Rockets for the 2025-2026 Elite League campaign.

The 21-year-old forward is a product of the Dundee Junior Development and was the Rockets second top point scorer last season, scoring 49 points in 32 games across all competitions as he helped them to a Scottish National League title in their inaugural season.

After rising through the youth system in Dundee, Page joined the Dundee Tigers in the SNL ahead of the 2021-2022 season and after three years with the Tigers, he then became a Rocket last season following the merger of the Dundee Tigers and Dundee Comets.

Rio will be involved with the Stars throughout the season, starting with the preseason training camp where he will gain valuable experience and exposure to the professional game, whilst also being able to play regularly with his parent club on a weekly basis.

Once the deal to bring Rio in on a two-way contract was complete, Stars Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach, Marc LeFebvre, said: “We had to replenish our two-way contracts as we know Dominick Jaglar has graduated to a full-time spot on the roster, Joshua Saunders has joined Milton Keynes and we all know of the tragic passing of Gary Kelly.

“So, we had to bring in some new guys and we wanted some local Dundee players and people kept telling me about Rio.

“He probably has not been given the opportunity he deserves over the past few years for different reasons but we are glad we have him on a two-way this year and we thank the Rockets for their co-operation in allowing Rio to have this opportunity.”

After the deal was confirmed, an ecstatic Rio said: “I am really pleased to have this opportunity with the Stars.

“Being from Dundee, it means a lot to get the chance to be involved with the club and to experience the professional level.

“I know it will be a challenge but I am looking forward to learning, working hard, and taking as much as I can from the experience.

“The Rockets have helped me a lot in my development and I am grateful for their support.”
